Respiratory Therapist - 13-Week AssignmentNight shift: 3x12.0 hoursJob DescriptionThe Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed. This role involves minimal supervision and requires proficiency in evaluating patients and recommending appropriate treatment plans. It also includes explaining treatment purposes and procedures to patients and providing necessary education upon discharge.ResponsibilitiesConduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods.Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy.Review patient chest x-rays to determine the need for further evaluation.Carry out pulmonary function studies as per guidelines.Assist with respiratory care-related procedures, including bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.Execute tracheostomy care and arterial punctures per policy.Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with BLS and ACLS protocols.Set up and maintain various types of mechanical ventilation.Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and documentation.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent VA License as a Respiratory Therapist.Experience in intensive respiratory care is preferred.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
