Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I Float to support our client's healthcare facility in Pennsauken, NJ. This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Details: Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:00 AM12:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM12:30 PM

Location: Multiple Patient Service Centers South Jersey

Primary Float/Coverage Area: Delran, Hainesport, Columbus, Burlington, Medford & Mount Laurel, NJ

Job Type: Local contract

Contract Length: 13+ weeks Pay Range: $19-21/hour

Mileage Reimbursement: Yes *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform accurate venipuncture and blood specimen collection using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect specimens from patients of all ages.
• Properly explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
• Update and verify patient information in the appropriate systems.
• Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and prepare specimens according to test requirements.
• Package specimens appropriately for transportation while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Store specimens according to required temperature and handling protocols.
• Record maintenance and decontamination activities as required.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced laboratory, Patient Service Center, or hospital environment.
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
