Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Operating Room position requiring both circulating and scrub nurse competency in a rural hospital setting. Requirements Active RN license (ND or Compact) Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS as required by facility Demonstrated competency in both circulating and scrub nurse roles Experience in a rural surgical services setting preferred Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties required Responsibilities Rural hospital OR/Surgery department setting Serves surgical patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases Cases include C-sections, hand surgery, podiatry, cataracts, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, and endoscopy Straight day shift schedule with flexible hour options (8s, 10s, or 12s), 40 hrs/week On-call required during the week only, with no weekend call Call coverage limited to C-sections Function as circulating nurse by coordinating patient care, maintaining sterile environment, and documenting procedures Function as scrub nurse by maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments/supplies, and maintaining accurate counts Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative team members Participate in emergency and trauma procedures as needed Assist with inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, quality improvement, and orientation of new staff Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes and expanded responsibilities common in rural healthcare settings Promote a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and professionalism Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
