You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset. The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.While reporting directly to Machinery Engineers, the following job description outlines the essential functions of this role within the Machinery department. The following list is not exhaustive, and the employee is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.What you’ll be doing:Design parts and create 3D models to production qualityCreate part drawings to production qualityCreate clear assembly drawings of complex assembliesOrganize and create accurate documentation of Alloyd parts and purchased componentsObserve and assist in vendor and sales meetingsPreform calculations during design process (forces, moments, bending, etc.)Read and understand bills of material (BOMs) to create 3D assembliesRegularly interact with production, other engineers, and the CNC shop in a positive mannerFollow plant and machine assembly safety rules and complete all tasks in a safety-conscious mannerThis is an ONSITE position located in our DeKalb, IL FacilityWe’d love to hear from you if:Pursuing BS in Mechanical Engineering3rd-4th year with CAD, Statics, Dynamics, and Mechanics of Materials completedProficiency in SolidworksFamiliarity with drawings and GD&TGreat communication and people skillsMotivated individualAbility to work independentlyCuriosity to learnSafety focusWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
