Customer Service Representative

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a positive attitude who enjoys helping people and building strong client relationships. This position focuses on customer retention, policy servicing, and identifying household bundling opportunities to better protect our clients.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and detail-oriented. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow with our agency while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Assist customers with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, coverage reviews, and general service requests.
Identify opportunities to improve customer protection through household bundling and additional coverage recommendations.
Retain existing clients by delivering a positive, solution-focused customer experience.
Process policy endorsements and customer requests accurately and efficiently.
Answer incoming calls promptly and return customer messages in a timely manner.
Verify and update customer contact information during each interaction.
Maintain knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, company procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with team members to resolve customer concerns and support agency goals.
Follow up with clients regarding renewals, coverage updates, and account servicing needs.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Help contribute to a positive, energetic, and team-oriented office environment.

Requirements

Active Louisiana Property & Casualty License required
Positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude
Willingness to learn, grow, and be coachable in a fast-paced agency environment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
Professional phone and communication etiquette
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow through
Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and with empathy
Team player who works well with others and contributes to a positive office culture
Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented
Comfortable identifying customer needs and recommending additional coverage or bundling opportunities
Ability to adapt quickly, learn new systems, and stay organized in a fast-moving environment
Strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
