What You’ll Do Interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes. Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Safely use lifting devices such as cranes and forklifts to position materials or parts as needed. Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications. Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities. Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards such as 5-S practices.
