Clinical Pharmacist in Oxnard, CA

A healthcare facility in Oxnard, CA is seeking two Clinical Pharmacists to provide inpatient pharmacy services at a major medical center in Ventura County. This contract opportunity offers a chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.


Responsibilities:

• Manage medication therapy for inpatients in a busy hospital setting.
• Collaborate with medical teams to optimize pharmacological treatments.

• Participate in medication utilization reviews and policy development.
• Adapt to variable shifts including swing shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist License required.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is advantageous; training is available.
• Ability to work full-time hours, primarily four 10-hour shifts per week, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail in clinical settings.

• Location: Oxnard, CA (Ventura County Medical Center)
• Full-time schedule with 8- or 10-hour shifts depending on assigned pharmacy unit.
• Variable shifts including possible swing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
