The office manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations for designated memorial parks, driving pre-need and at-need sales, managing the sales team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with leadership capabilities to develop and execute sales strategies, foster client relationships, and manage cemetery expenses, including labor and overtime costs. The Sales Manager is expected to work on-site and must be able to adapt to a dynamic, client-focused environment. Pay range is DOE.

The cemetery sales manager reports directly to their designated executive regional manager, and is required to obtain his/her approval for all necessary authorizations, including but not limited to overtime, scheduling, and operational decisions.

• Drive pre-need and at-need sales of cemetery properties, merchandise, and services.

• Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and bonus targets.

• Educate families on the value of pre-planning cemetery arrangements to ensure informed decision-making.

• Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while maintaining accurate sales records.

• Ensure pricing integrity and adherence to all company policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with families, funeral homes, and community organizations.

• Actively participate in community outreach programs to promote cemetery pre-planning services.

• Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and compassionate manner.

• Ensure all sales activities align with budgetary goals and cost control measures.

• Monitor and manage overtime costs, ensuring approval from your supervisor for any overtime hours.

• Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, and customer agreements in compliance with company policies; retain client information in confidence and preserve privacy of sensitive client financial account information.

• Regularly assess sales trends and develop strategies to enhance revenue and operational efficiency.

• Oversee and manage operational tasks for the location.

• Adhere to all company policies, state laws, and federal regulations, including FLSA requirements.

• Accurately clock in and out for all work hours, ensuring full compliance with timekeeping policies.

• Work only during approved hours, securing pre-approval for any personal or direct report overtime requests.

• Ensure that all transactions and customer interactions are documented properly and meet regulatory federal and state requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven sales experience in a quota-driven environment.
