General Superintendent Gavin Heath is partnering with a client in Northern Texas looking to add a General Superintendent to their team. The role is a Direct Hire position. Responsibilities include:

• Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on schedule for the project management team.
• Oversee field specific activities for commercial construction projects from setup to closeout related to industries including power, and data center / mission critical.
• Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
• Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule.
• Supervises the daily work of employees.
• Verifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.
• Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversight, and management of commercial mechanical construction projects up to $200M in value.
• Assists Project Manager in coordinating activities of employees engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.
• Responsible for assisting craft supervision to coordinating activities of workers engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction of large-scale commercial projects.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing mechanical craft trades.
• Previous experience working on data center or mission critical projects.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
• Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Preferred: Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
• Preferred: Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
• Preferred: Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
• Preferred: Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
• Preferred: Engineering or Construction Management Degree.
