Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Towson, MD, requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience including stroke patient care.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
• On-call schedule to be determined by the facility
• Must be willing to take telemetry patients as needed
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with stroke patients required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required or must be willing to obtain within 48 hours of offer
• Willingness to obtain mRs/SIREN certification within 48 hours of offer if required
• COVID vaccination required — declinations are not accepted
• No scheduling restrictions — must be fully available to work the facility's schedule
• Resume must account for all employment gaps over 30 days
• Two supervisory references required: one from within the last 6 months and one from within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered personally or by those under their direction
• Utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess and provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• A discipline-specific Med/Surg skills checklist is required for consideration
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this contract
