RN Support Team - Med Surg FT Days

Position Overview The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care guided by evidence-based practice, organizational standards, and the Nurse Practice Act. They perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—tailoring care to individual patient needs and cultural diversity. The role emphasizes partnership with patients and families, effective communication, and adherence to clinical standards. Responsibilities include coordinating care, documenting accurately, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment. The nurse serves as a mentor and preceptor, promotes research and evidence-based practice, and participates in protocol development for optimal outcomes. They ensure compliance with policies and maintain professional competencies.
