Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse responsible for providing advanced nursing care to ICU patients. This role requires ensuring patient safety, monitoring complex conditions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and coordinate comprehensive ICU patient care according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and responses to treatments continuously.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly, utilizing ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Document patient findings, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Assist with assessments, procedures, and education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio licensing or a compact state license in hand.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent ICU experience, preferably within one location.
• Have current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications with active status.
• Provide two recent management or supervisor references from the past 12 months.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments successfully during orientation.
• Be willing to adhere to facility policies regarding nicotine and drug screens.
