Sr Engineer

Implements manpower, systems, and corporate projects designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues, and improve customer service. Participates in the development and implementation of operating plans and performs engineering work by conducting studies, preparing data, and developing models and analytical tools for use by engineers and operations. Transforms business processes and operational tools to enable global excellence. Performs other duties as assigned. BS degree in industrial engineering or another related engineering discipline. Two (2) years of related experience in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills. Minimum Education BS degree in industrial engineering or a related field. Minimum Experience Five (5) years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong engineering and analytical skills Strong systems and computer knowledge Strong communication skills, including presentation skills Ability to create operating and budgetary plans and implement them Knowledge to create business and operational tools Ability to develop models for engineers and operations Ability to develop and lead technical training Additional Responsibilities Optimizes FedEx's Latin America air network via tactical scheduling, capacity management, and strategic planning. Generates flight schedules, routings, and seasonal contingency plans utilizing FedEx systems and business intelligence tools.
