The Underwriter is responsible for working with wholesale and/or retail agents and carriers to obtain specialized insurance coverage for insureds. The Underwriter will meet growth, profit, and production initiatives by developing positive and productive business relationships with retail agents, producers, carriers, co-workers, and others.

Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility.

About You: Minimum of 5 years of related experience required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Highly developed problem solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills, as well as the mentoring and guidance of more junior employees. Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software. Skilled in use of agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
