Responsibilities

• Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences using our play-based curriculum.
• Foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe and document children’s progress.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Communicate daily with families through conversations and classroom communication tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure compliance with licensing and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to provide the highest quality educational experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Completion of state-required pre-service training.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a professional and positive manner.
• Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary to ensure child safety and assist with classroom activities.
