Nuclear/PET CT Technologist - Per Diem

Job Description Nuclear/ PET CT Technologist Cayuga Health System began by joining two longstanding, independent hospitals into a cohesive health‑care network providing seamless, comprehensive, community centered care for the residents of central New York. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing clinical services in the Medical Center's Nuclear Medicine department. These responsibilities include preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and the operation of imaging and monitoring equipment. Role and Responsibilities Competently perform imaging procedures, including administration of radioisotopes. Maintains and calibrates radioisotope and laboratory equipment. Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality. Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above. Follows all state regulations, and perform and maintain department QA procedures and documentation. Assists with training and educating new staff members and students as appropriate. Maintains all credentials and CE credits essential to position. Required Skills and Experience NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine. New York State Department of Health License or eligible. NMTCB; plus CT certification or ARRT; NM plus CT or DX certification. Education: Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine or graduation from accredited Nuclear Medicine certificate program. Experience: Experience a plus, but new grads welcome. Licensure: NYS NM, DX or CT. Preferred Skills and Experience Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred. Good written and oral communication skills preferred. Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes. Physical Requirements Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance.
