Job Summary As an Automotive Technician at Bertera Manchester Nissan, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, primarily focusing on Nissan models, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and dealership guidelines. This position offers a competitive flat‑rate pay structure based on your skill level and experience. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components. Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues accurately. Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs, estimated completion times, and any additional services required. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing education and training. Collaborate with other team members to improve workflow and customer satisfaction. Ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest quality standards and within manufacturer specifications. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; completion of a certification program in automotive technology is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. ASE certification(s) preferred but not required; we encourage technicians to pursue certifications to enhance their skills. Proven experience as an automotive technician, with proficiency in diagnostics and repair; experience with Nissan vehicles is a plus. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
