Medical Biller Location:Aurora, CO (In-office position - not remote) About the Role We're seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate claims submission and timely reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Process charge entry, manage appeals and collections, and post payments accurately Review and verify billing data for accuracy, correcting errors before submission Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies via electronic and paper formats Follow up proactively on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes Apply medical coding standards (ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT, DRG) to ensure regulatory compliance Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to patient billing inquiries professionally Stay current on insurance policies, procedures, and billing regulations Required Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing and collections Proficiency with medical coding systems:ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT, and DRG Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management Experience with EMR systems and electronic claims submission Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications Experience with infusion billing and IV procedures Medical office experience in a similar role What We're Looking For A dedicated professional who combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, someone who takes pride in accuracy and maintains the highest standards of compliance in medical billing practices.
