SAP Developer

Overview We’re looking for an SAP Developer to work closely with technical peers, internal business contacts and external clients to develop, design and continuously improve the ERP backbone to support successful business. The role requires solid understanding of SAP, strong development capabilities, knowledge of integration points, and business processes, along with strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities Implement new customer projects and change requests for Arvato SCS with direct interaction with internal stakeholders and external clients. Manage SAP implementation lifecycle, including gathering requirements, process analysis, designing, implementing solutions, deployment, documentation, training and user support. Set up end‑to‑end SCM processes in MM/SD/LES/PP/WM/IM. Deep understanding of Logistics with integrated WM, HU management, RF scanning, batch management and serialization, plus sound knowledge of shipping and transport management. Proactively identify data or process issues and work with the appropriate individuals to resolve them. Work with business users to gather details on new SAP issues and accurately categorize them to address them in a timely manner. Support the global IT team in process alignment for all regions. Work with department process improvements. Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations. Follow and maintain the 7s Program and guidelines. Perform any additional tasks assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean and goal‑oriented work environment. Office: Hybrid schedule after 6 months. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of SAP support/implementation experience. 3+ years of ABAP and debugging experience. Proficiency with ABAP, IDOC, USEREXITS, Open SQL, XML, BAPI, BADI, SAP Queries. Intellectual curiosity, problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail. Provide high‑quality support across operations. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills and follow‑through ability. Work independently in an international environment. Capable of performing in a fast‑paced packaging environment. Perform accurately under stressful conditions. Adaptable: willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts and various warehouse areas. Follow instructions, processes, and procedures. Experience with Adobe Forms, Smartforms, Bartender, and Centralized Output management preferred. Experience with RF devices and QM considered a plus. ITIL certification preferred. WM, SD & MM expertise required; IM, FI, CRM preferred. LES experience a plus. SAP R/3 experience required; some S/4HANA experience preferred. Prior experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse environment. Knowledge of SAP related to warehouse activities.
