This role will be reporting to the SCM Supervisor and will be responsible for executing the Drilling and Completions Procurement Plan, contributing to cost savings through negotiation strategies and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.Additionally, the Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services supporting day-to-day drilling and completions activities. You will work closely with field personnel and management across various business units, Supply Chain, and operations-based suppliers to deliver value and achieve organizational goals.The Supply Chain Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote, as business needs allow.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for sourcing major materials, equipment and services for Drilling and CompletionsExecute daily sourcing activities such as developing Purchase Requisitions, issuing Purchase Orders and ongoing Purchase Order expeditingAssist in Request for Proposals/Quotations; conduct bid analysis, facilitate technical and commercial clarifications, and make award recommendationsAssist in delivering the current Drilling and Completions Procurement Plan by executing sourcing and contracting effortsManage the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to ongoing monitoring and reviewTrack contractual obligations and provide summaries to business owners for accountabilityWork with stakeholders to quantify usage and forecast future requirementsLead negotiations with suppliers and contractors, developing and executing cost reduction and avoidance strategiesDevelop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectivesIdentify impactful contractual relationships and track realized savings and potential opportunitiesCollaborate with Contracts / Legal to ensure all contracts comply with internal and external regulationsIdentify and assess emerging opportunities within the supply chain to maximize valueProactively engage with key stakeholders to identify sourcing and contract value opportunitiesAssess customer needs, provides procurement expertise to customers in the acquisition processAssist in negotiations with Supplier / Contractors including developing and executing cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies and initiativesMonitor, assess and adjust sourcing strategies based on supplier and market intelligenceEnsure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures both internally and externally to the InstitutionIndependently plans actions to ensure customer requirements are achievedQualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experience in operations procurement or contracting supportAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in MS Office Suite and procurement softwareDesired/Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or other technical degreeMinimum 5 years or more relevant experience, preferably in operations, drilling and completions, or contracting supportStrong understanding of contract negotiation principles and best practicesStrong understanding of Drilling and Completions equipment and servicesProven ability to develop and execute cost-saving strategiesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsStrong SAP experience preferredStrong Ariba experience preferredIcertis experience preferredThe individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions.
