RN Critical Care/ICU-CCUJob Title: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Profession: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Specialty: RN Critical Care/ICU-CCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Required Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit. Description: Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of assignment. This test must be passed in order to work in the critical care unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations. Estimated workweek is 36 hours with the possibility of additional hours. Every other weekend rotation is required. Every other holiday rotation is required. Traveler may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Basic dysrhythmia testing and ongoing education are essential components of the assignment.
