Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in a hospital setting. This role involves supporting the operating room team and procedural areas by performing activities such as decontamination, assembly, inspection, sterilization, and storage of reusable surgical instruments and equipment. The Technician works under the supervision of Central Service leadership and collaborates closely with surgical staff to ensure sterile supplies are available and meet quality standards.

• Schedule:
  • 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week
  • Positions:
    • Mon-Fri 6:45 AM 3:15 PM
    • Sun-Thurs 10:45 PM 7:15 AM
    • Mon-Fri 2:45 PM 11:15 PM
• Required Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service
  • Certifications: Central Service Technician certification; CRCST or CBSPD certification is required within one year of hire
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting; basic computer knowledge; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; strong verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting
• Additional Information:
  • Role involves decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and scopes
  • Maintaining inventory and supporting the sterile core
  • Ensuring compliance with manufacturer's guidelines for reprocessing
  • Position duration from 09/16/2026 to 12/15/2026
