You’ll develop the Guides who interact directly with students, transforming them into outstanding coaches rather than traditional instructors. You’ll facilitate life skills workshops that resonate with students long after they leave. You’ll analyze performance data to pinpoint where students or Guides are underperforming and coach them toward excellence. You’ll also maintain your own student cohort, embodying the standards you set for others. The impact is substantial. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Every enhancement you introduce to campus culture multiplies across hundreds of young lives. Success isn’t defined by meeting attendance or report volume. What You Will Be Doing Develop and coach Guides to execute Alpha’s coaching model with consistency, intensity, and rigorous standards. Facilitate dynamic life skills workshops addressing communication, focus, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students using established playbooks. Leverage student and Guide performance data to pinpoint coaching opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and produce measurable progress weekly. Conduct motivation sessions that empower every student to embrace ambitious goals and consistently reach them. Oversee your own student cohort while exemplifying the coaching quality and accountability you require from every Guide. What You Won’t Be Doing Instructing academic subjects. Students complete core academics autonomously via AI-powered learning platforms. Developing lesson plans or designing curriculum. Your responsibility is superior coaching, not producing instructional content. Controlling classrooms through lectures, worksheets, or behavior management systems. Students direct their learning, and you coach the practices that enable achievement. Reducing expectations to sidestep challenging discussions. Rigorous standards and authentic belief in every student’s capability are inseparable. Defining success by activity rather than outcomes. Results carry more weight than effort by itself. Head Coach Key Responsibilities Establish a coaching culture in which outstanding Guides reliably produce students who embrace school, achieve academic mastery at an accelerated rate, and develop the resilience, leadership, and life skills necessary to excel well beyond the classroom. Basic Requirements Willing to work on campus in Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Austin, TX; or Fort Worth, TX (relocation support provided). Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a related field. Experience leading an ongoing team of five or more adults, with final or primary authority to select team members and make performance-based termination decisions. Sustained, recurring responsibility for the learning, behavior, motivation, or growth of children ages 5-14 in an educational, developmental, athletic, or youth leadership setting. Track record of building, launching, or significantly growing a program, team, school, business, or initiative from the ground up, rather than simply maintaining or inheriting one. Proven ability to use performance metrics and data to diagnose problems, prioritize actions, and deliver measurable results. Willingness to work in a school that deliberately rejects traditional pedagogy. Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Nice-to-have Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. Experience coaching athletics, leading outdoor or experiential education, directing camps, youth programs, or other cohort-based organizations. Experience building or leading innovative education, EdTech, tutoring, nonprofit, or learning programs outside traditional classroom teaching. Personal history of exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership. Strong conviction that education should develop capable, resilient, independent young people rather than simply deliver academic content.
