Recruiting Director

PKT Enterprises is a human services company providing residential group home services, in-home supports, and other services for individuals with disabilities. We are hiring a Recruiting Director to find, interview, and onboard employees who will work throughout our programs. This position is responsible for managing applicants from the time they apply through the completion of orientation. The Recruiting Director will contact applicants, schedule and conduct interviews, help applicants complete the online hiring process, conduct weekly orientation, and provide a clear handoff once a new employee is ready to begin working. This is a solo department with no direct reports. The right person will be organized, comfortable using technology, able to communicate with many different people, and motivated to keep the hiring process moving. Responsibilities Review applications and contact applicants by phone, text, and email. Conduct initial screenings and schedule interviews. Interview applicants for open positions. Explain available positions, schedules, work locations, and job expectations. Follow up with applicants throughout the hiring process. Help applicants complete required online onboarding steps. Track background studies, documents, training, and other outstanding requirements. Prepare for and conduct employee orientation each week. Maintain accurate information in the applicant and onboarding systems. Work with current employees who are interested in internal schedule, position, or location changes. Communicate internal staffing requests to the appropriate managers and directors. Identify and attend job fairs, hiring events, college events, and community recruiting opportunities. Build relationships with colleges, workforce programs, community organizations, and other recruiting partners. Create and update recruiting materials, presentations, spreadsheets, advertisements, and reports. Assist with marketing open positions through job boards, social media, community outreach, and recruiting events. Track applications, interviews, orientations, new hires, and recruiting results. Keep the Operations Administrator updated on hiring needs, applicant activity, and delays. Provide Human Resources and Operations with a complete handoff when onboarding is finished. Maintain applicant and employee confidentiality. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys talking with people, is comfortable picking up the phone, follows through, and does not wait to be told every next step. This person should be able to keep applicants engaged, notice when something is holding up the hiring process, and take action to move it forward. They should also be comfortable representing PKT Enterprises at job fairs, colleges, community events, and other recruiting opportunities. Training will be provided on PKT Enterprises' systems, programs, orientation process, and hiring procedures. At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, human resources, marketing, office administration, scheduling, customer service, sales, training, or a similar position. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable making frequent phone calls and following up with applicants. Strong computer and technology skills. Comfortable using computers, smartphones, email, calendars, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and online systems. Able to create, update, read, and explain spreadsheets, presentations, and reports. Able to learn new software and hiring systems. Strong organization and follow-through. Able to manage multiple applicants and deadlines at the same time. Able to work independently and take ownership of the department. Positive, dependable, and willing to take initiative. Able to communicate professionally with applicants, employees, managers, directors, and outside organizations. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance. Able to travel locally for job fairs and recruiting events. Able to complete all required background and employment checks. Preferred Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, human resources, business administration, or a related field. Previous recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, or orientation experience. Experience using an applicant tracking system, onboarding system, or human resources software. Experience with UKG or a similar system. Experience leading orientation, training, or group presentations. Experience working in human services, disability services, residential group homes, in-home supports, healthcare, or a related field. Experience recruiting direct support professionals, caregivers, residential staff, or other high-volume positions. Experience attending job fairs, working with colleges, or conducting community outreach. Experience creating recruiting advertisements, flyers, presentations, social media content, or other marketing materials.
