Java Developer
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Java Developer to join their team. As a Java Developer, you will be part of the Application Support Department supporting trading systems and real-time applications. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to learn quickly, and a proactive approach requiring limited oversight, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Jersey City, NJ
What's the Job?
- Define target state architecture for JADE and develop an implementation plan
- Support the application to ensure it meets performance and resiliency requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy applications
- Work on high-performance Java solutions for real-time trading systems
- Utilize messaging applications like Kafka or AMPST to support system communication
What's Needed?
- Hands-on experience with real-time, distributed applications, preferably trading systems
- Expertise in Java development, especially modernizing legacy systems
- Experience with messaging applications such as Kafka or AMPST
- Knowledge of cloud computing and containerizing applications (desired)
- Understanding of derivatives, traded products, and trading systems (beneficial)
