Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Ameriwell Care is Hiring Weekend DSPs! Ameriwell Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities on weekends. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent weekend hours and meaningful work where you can make a real difference in someone’s life. What You'll Do As a Weekend DSP, you will provide individualized support based on the person’s needs and goals. Responsibilities may include: Supporting the individual with daily living skills and independence Accompanying the individual on community outings and recreational activities Encouraging socialization and community participation Assisting with shopping, errands, meals, and other daily activities Providing companionship and positive, person-centered support Assisting with personal care when needed Providing transportation when required for the assignment Following the individual’s ISP, safety guidelines, and support strategies Completing required service documentation and daily notes Maintaining consistent and reliable attendance for scheduled weekend shifts Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Dependable and committed to working scheduled weekend hours Compassionate, patient, and professional Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required Must be willing and able to complete required NJ DDD training and background-clearance requirements Why Work With Ameriwell Care?
