About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's transformation and growth. The COO will be responsible for leading operational teams, including customer experience, scholarship programs, enterprise project portfolio management, project management office, procurement, and vendor management. This executive will be tasked with delivering operational excellence, implementing and managing the operational strategy, and ensuring the best possible service to the organization's constituents. The role involves assessing and managing current operational practices, taking ownership of issues and risks, and establishing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in relevant job functions, at least 15 years of experience in leading large teams and budgets, and a strong alignment with the company's mission. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a background that demonstrates success in the required areas, with military service being a valid substitute for formal education. Experience in leading large vendor teams, managing key vendor relationships, and a history of organizational growth and transformation are essential. The COO will be expected to partner with the senior leadership team to optimize key organizational processes and to engage in strategic planning to enhance productivity and efficiency. The role is highly collaborative, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in centralizing operations as a cohesive team and in building and improving collaboration across the organization. Thought leadership and staying current with industry trends are also key aspects of the position.
