Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29‑story hotel located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre‑function meeting space with waterfront views. Job Purpose To ensure a safe, efficient, well‑maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner. Essential Job Functions Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on‑going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering. Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms following the preventive maintenance guidelines for the Omni CARE program. Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed. Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible). Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures. Respond to all requests from guests and associates. Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. Keep all work areas clean. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a commercial painter required; hotel experience preferred. Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures. Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces. Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo. Must be able to apply caulk. Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests. Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions. May be asked to be part of ride‑out crew during severe weather events. Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts. Environment & Position Analysis Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift. Tools & Equipment Painting/finishing tools and equipment, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photocopying machine and push‑to‑talk radio.
