Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Job DutiesPerform heavy mobile equipment mechanic work including troubleshooting malfunctions, determining the type and extent of repair required, repairing, and maintaining equipment.Perform automotive mechanic work including troubleshooting malfunctions, determining the type and extent of repair required, repairing, and maintaining vehicles.Operate, navigate, and is responsible for maintenance of several types of boats and floating equipment.Remove and repair major systems or components of equipment to include transmissions, starters, generators, carburetors, fuel pumps, braking systems, and steering systems.Replace and adjust tracks; replace and adjust road wheels, road wheel bearings, idler wheels, idler bearings and oil seals; replace suspension arms, torsion bars, stabilizer bars, etc.Diagnose and repair all types of failures in electrical systems.Repair and replace wiring; removes, tests, repairs, and replaces defective assemblies and parts, i.e., line switches, relays, etc.Diagnose and repair fuel system failures.
