Controller

The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting and financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing strategic insights to leadership. In a manufacturing environment, the Controller also plays a key role in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial analysis tied to production performance.

Reports To: Vice President

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all core accounting operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Fixed Assets
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain and enhance financial reporting processes and systems
• Coordinate annual audits and partner with external auditors and tax advisors
• Own the annual budgeting process
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts
• Develop and manage cash flow forecasts and working capital strategies
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor utilization, and material variances
• Maintain standard costing and review cost variance trends
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls
• Oversee tax filings, reporting requirements, and audit processes
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to leadership
• Support strategic planning, capital investments, and growth initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
