Social Catering Sales Manager

General Hotels Corporation is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Social Catering Sales Manager to join our team. This position will focus primarily on wedding sales, while also developing business for social events, fundraisers, galas, and other special events. We are looking for someone who combines a passion for hospitality with a strong sales mindset. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, generating new business, conducting property tours, and turning inquiries into booked events.

The Social Catering Sales Manager will manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contracting and event finalization, working closely with clients to understand their vision, maximizing revenue opportunities, and ensure event details are accurately planned and communicated to the hotel’s operations and banquet teams.

What You'll Do

• Drive wedding and social catering sales, with a primary focus on weddings, while also securing fundraisers, galas, and other special events


• Prospect for new business and build relationships with clients, community organizations, event planners, and referral partners


• Respond to inquiries, conduct property tours, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close business


• Maximize revenue through upselling food and beverage, event enhancements, and guest room opportunities


• Manage booked events through the finalization process, including menus, timelines, room setups, and event details


• Prepare accurate BEOs, group resumes, and room diagrams


• Partner with banquet and hotel operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution


• Participate in bridal shows, networking events, and community events to generate new business

What You'll Bring

• Previous catering sales, hotel sales, wedding venue sales, event sales, or related hospitality experience preferred, but not required


• Strong sales and relationship-building skills with the ability to ask for the business and close the sale


• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills


• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and events


• Confidence conducting property tours and presenting catering options


• Ability to meet or exceed established revenue goals


• Flexibility to work weekends


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
