UnderwriterLocation: 222 S Harbor Blvd, #720, Anaheim, CA 92805Salary: $85,000 - $120,000/yearPosition Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried), Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Hybrid after 1 year – 3 days in office/2 days remoteReports to: Senior Actuarial ManagerPosition Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to evaluate, underwrite, and manage commercial auto accounts. This role focuses on risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management while maintaining strong relationships with brokers, agents, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has strong P&C knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to make sound underwriting decisions for a profitable book of business.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate, underwrite, and manage commercial P&C accounts, including reviewing submissions, assessing exposures, and recommending terms and pricingAnalyze loss history, financials, and risk profiles to make informed underwriting decisionsApply company underwriting guidelines, actuarial information, and industry best practicesBuild and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholdersManage renewals and new business submissions, ensuring proper documentation and approvalsMonitor portfolio performance and market trends to inform underwriting strategyCollaborate with claims, actuarial, finance, and risk teams to align underwriting strategy with overall business objectivesEnsure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standardsParticipate in special projects and initiatives to improve underwriting processes and portfolio profitabilityQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field5+ years of P&C underwriting experienceStrong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance principles and risk evaluationExperience managing commercial accounts and making sound underwriting decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting systemsPreferred:Commercial Auto experienceCPCU designation or actively pursuing professional insurance credentialsExperience with middle-market or broker-facing accountsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailBenefits:Medical (PPO), dental (PPO), vision (PPO), and life insurance covered 100% by the company and 50% for dependentsPaid time off and sick leave13 annual paid holidays401(k) plan with up to 4% company matchFlexible Spending Account (FSA) & Dependent Care FSAQuarterly Fringe Benefit reimbursementsJob-related training reimbursementCasual dress codeAbout Us:At DB Insurance USA, we carry forward a legacy of excellence that began in South Korea in 1962 and expanded to the U.S. in 1984.
