Staff Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Software Test Engineer to design, implement, and test embedded software for an automotive infotainment platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, embedded systems, and hardware interaction, with a solid understanding of electrical/electronic (EE) systems. This role requires a high-performing engineer who thrives in challenging environments, explores new technical solutions, and contributes innovative ideas. The candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across software, hardware, and program management teams.

You will be responsible for designing and executing automated testing strategies for embedded applications, developing automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust CI/CD integration and test execution pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for embedded applications
• Build and manage automation frameworks and script packages
• Develop and maintain test automation environments for execution and stability
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing (build, test, deploy)
• Execute functional, performance, and stress testing activities
• Review, analyze, and publish test results and reports
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Manage test case repositories and automation workflows
• Collaborate closely with development teams to debug and resolve system issues
• Integrate automated testing pipelines into overall development workflows
• Communicate technical updates, risks, and solutions across cross-functional teams

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in software validation and system test leadership
• Strong proficiency in Python and Pytest-based automation frameworks
• Extensive experience with embedded Linux and Android testing
• 4+ years of experience with Docker and Jenkins for CI/CD automation
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, DoIP, Ethernet) and application protocols (UDS, SOME/IP)
• Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces such as USB, UART, SPI, and I2C
• Experience using tools such as CANoe, PCAN, Wireshark, and PacketSender
• Experience with Android CTS and Monkey testing
• Strong experience in building data-driven automation frameworks
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Xray
• Ability to create system and subsystem-level test plans
