Group Facilitators are highly experienced, licensed clinical mental health professionals who are specifically trained in CSC philosophy and methodology and utilize those skills in group facilitation at CSC. Major Duties and Responsibilities Facilitating CSC support groups: Within the framework of the CSC model, a Group Facilitator helps group members share their cancer‑related experiences in regularly scheduled group meetings. Group Facilitators help ensure that participants gain knowledge and information from each other to become more active in their cancer treatment and recovery (Patient Active). Additional responsibilities include maintaining attendance sheets, encouraging continued participation between group sessions, and providing resources and clinical referrals as appropriate. Overseeing workshops and special events: Group Facilitators may be asked to serve as “hosts” for educational workshops and other special programs. Supervision and training: Participate in monthly staff/clinical supervision meetings as well as completing time sheets and other reports as required by the Facility. An orientation and training schedule will be arranged, including a thorough review of the CSC Program Manual, meeting with the management team, and shadowing/observation of existing groups with seasoned Group Facilitators. Skills Required Must be a licensed mental health professional (social work, counselor, marriage and family therapy, etc.) in the state of Ohio. Documentation of licensure and malpractice insurance coverage is required. OR a trained bachelor’s level or degreed professional with specific expertise and experience that would benefit the group being facilitated.
