Location: Princeton, Indiana

Pay: $40–$42 per hour

Employment Type: Contract

Position Summary

Reliance One is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our client's Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Battery Pack Assembly group. This position will support equipment development, specifications, safety assessments, installation checks, and production-readiness activities with North American manufacturing facilities, vendors, and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support battery-pack assembly equipment development with North American and global teams
• Develop and review equipment specifications for compliance with engineering standards
• Support machine risk assessments and equipment-safety confirmation activities
• Complete Seibi equipment checks for safety, electrical, and mechanical design requirements
• Confirm safety interlocks for equipment, conveyors, logistics hardware, individual cells, and production zones
• Participate in vendor buy-off trials and larger production-zone trials
• Support equipment adjustments to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets
• Collaborate with equipment vendors and manufacturing facilities
• Travel to vendors and manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Japan

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field, trade-school completion, or at least three years of relevant technical experience
• At least two years of PLC programming experience with Toyopuc, Allen-Bradley, Omron, or Siemens
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to work up to 25% overtime, potentially including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% during peak periods
