Position Overview

Morrison High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math teacher to join our team. We are seeking a team player with excellent communication skills while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics and committed to helping all students succeed. They create an engaging, student-centered classroom that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a growth mindset. The primary coursework to be taught will be Algebra II, Algebra I Foundations, and Algebra II Foundations.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to state standards in Mathematics
Teach a range of courses
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Integrate technology to enhance learning
Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Participate in professional development and school initiatives
Serve as an advisor or support extracurricular activities as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement
Strong knowledge of Mathematics standards and best instructional practices
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Commitment to student growth and school community
