Supervises : Yes
Work Location : Warehouse in Raleigh, NC
Job Summary: Receiving Lead oversees the daily operations in the receiving department. Ensuring all incoming inventory, raw materials, and shipments are unloaded, inspected, logged, and routed accurately and safely.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee receiving and other warehouse processes and personnel to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Complete inventory transactions to receive, assign location and issue inventory as required.
- Report any discrepancies.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Physical demands:
- Walk and stand for long periods of time
- Lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
Required Education and Experience : High school diploma and at least 2 year of experience as a Warehouse Worker, preferably commercial. Good attention to detail. Work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
Schedule : The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 5:30 pm.
