Test and Measurement Controls Engineer

Work location - Lockport, NY

Your Contribution:

As a  Test and Measurement Controls Engineer reporting to the Head of AC Testing – NA, you will provide support for equipment and facilities used in the validation testing of automotive Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and engine cooling components. Primary role will be supporting Industrial controls, including Siemens PLC control systems. Position requires a multidisciplinary background of both electrical and mechanical engineering relating to the support of industrial and test equipment, process control and instrumentation. Responsible for ensuring data quality and adherence to validation test specifications for components and systems as part of the product development cycle.

• Design, validate, and implement controls for new test equipment and upgrades to existing equipment.
• Installation and support of process control equipment including PLCs and set-point controllers.
• Design, development and implementation of HMI systems.
• Installation and support of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Develop and perform commissioning tests.
• Other duties and responsabilities may be required. 

Your Experience and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in support of industrial processes or test equipment. 

• Knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or PLC controls and HMI devices.

• Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, electrical systems.

• Familiarity with HVAC, thermodynamics.

• Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis, OSHA, NFPA.
