About the Role

The Senior Product Manager, Unconventional Development will lead the development of a strategic new solution within Landmark. The role will translate complex unconventional development decisions into a trusted digital solution that helps operators connect subsurface and operational choices with production forecasts, uncertainty, economics, capital allocation, cash flow, net present value, and reserves discipline.

This is a product-building role, not solely the management of an established feature backlog. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with senior executives, the Senior Product Manager will own the product vision, customer discovery, roadmap, minimum viable product priorities, commercial strategy, and evidence required to guide future investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the translate of the requirements to complete a DSU development life cycle into prioritized product fetures on a digital solution. 
• Connect technical development alternatives to production forecasts, type curves, uncertainty, economics, capital allocation, net present value, cash flow, and reserves considerations.
• Lead customer discovery and design-partner validation to identify high-value decisions, validate target users, test adoption interest, and challenge the proposed customer value.
• Own the product vision, roadmap, and minimum viable product priorities, including making evidence-based decisions about what not to build.
• Partner with engineering, data science, domain experts, and user experience teams to develop workflows that integrate with relevant customer tools, data, and decision processes.
• Establish product expectations for explainability, auditability, data quality, forecast calibration, and explicit treatment of uncertainty.
• Develop product positioning, pricing, and packaging hypotheses and validate them with customers, sales, services, and commercial stakeholders.
• Partner with sales and services on go-to-market readiness, demonstrations, customer onboarding, product adoption, and the communication of measurable business value.
• Define and monitor measures of customer value, decision quality, adoption, and product performance rather than relying solely on development activity or feature delivery.
• Present product investment alternatives, supporting evidence, risks, assumptions, and tradeoffs to the General Manager, Solution Owners, Domain Owners, and senior executives.
• Ensure the solution adheres to applicable application-security requirements, working with technical and security stakeholders to monitor risks and relevant security metrics.

Qualifications

Required

• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry, including product-management experience.
• Hands-on experience with unconventional resource development and the ability to evaluate integrated asset-development scenarios rather than optimizing a single well or technical discipline in isolation.
• Demonstrated experience influencing DSU-level or comparable asset-development decisions involving multiple areas such as subsurface, drilling, completions, production, economics, capital planning, or reserves.
• Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, business cases, investment recommendations, or commercialization plans for technology-oriented products or solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead across technical, commercial, operational, and executive stakeholder groups without relying solely on formal authority.

Preferred

• Graduate degree in Marketing, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting unconventional development within a US Lower 48 operator or comparable operator-relevant environment.
• Experience leading a digital-product initiative, translating operational workflows into software, or bringing an energy-technology solution into commercial use.
• Familiarity with new AI Technology, analytical methods, data integration, enterprise software adoption, product discovery, or design-partner validation.
• Experience with product positioning, pricing, packaging, go-to-market planning, customer onboarding, and adoption measurement.
