Korum Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with comprehensive knowledge of dealership title processing. If you have a strong background and proven expertise as a Title Clerk , we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

Duties include:

• Reviews the documentation received from the F&I Department for vehicle sales for accuracy and completeness, “caps” the deal to record the accounting, and assigns correct commission amounts for Sales Consultants and Finance Managers, with adjustments for any applicable incentive programs. Reports discrepancies/errors to the appropriate Finance Manager/Sales Manager promptly, and ensures proper follow-up.
• Pulls trade vehicle paperwork from car deals as part of the deal capping process, prepares pay-offs on vehicles traded in, and processes title transfer documentation. Prepares new deal jackets for traded vehicles. Also processes lease pay-off and refinancing paperwork.
• Completes, submits, and follows up on paperwork to claim rebates and incentives from manufacturers.
• Reviews auction purchase paperwork for completeness/accuracy, processes the payments for such purchases (including related services – frame, transport, etc.), creates new deal jackets, assigns stock numbers, and loads the vehicles into the dealership management systems (“DMS”).
• Processes incoming new vehicle inventory purchases. Assigns stock numbers, accurately loads the new vehicles and their related information into the DMS, and creates new deal jackets for the inventory.
• Performs various accounts payable responsibilities, including reviewing invoices and employee expense reimbursements for appropriate approval, coding, calculating discounts, and ensuring timely payments and accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintains vendor records/files, including system setup and maintenance, obtaining W-9 forms, and completing required reporting (e.g., 1099 reporting, etc.). Sends W-9 certificates to resale vendors.
• Ensures all title work is processed properly and on time.
• Preparing pay-off for traded-in vehicles
• Processing title transfer documentation
• Processing lease pay-off and refinancing paperwork
• Reviewing and auditing title/licensing documents for each vehicle purchased/sold and in inventory/courtesy loaner fleets.
• Submit all legal transfer documents to the Department of Licensing
• Processing of vehicle sales/deals
• Processing the purchasing of new and used vehicle inventory
• Processing dealer trades
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Remittance and cancellation of F&I products and services
• Responsible for various accounting duties, including journal entries, analysis, and research
• General ledger reconciliations

Pay Range: $23.05 to $29.83 per hour
Targeted Hiring Pay Range: $23.05 to $27.12 per hour

Desired Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College-level accounting coursework preferred
• Previous Title Clerk experience preferred
• 2+ years of dealership experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with Intermediate Excel skills
• Must be able to learn/use all software and programs provided by the dealership
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
