The Retail Assistant Manager plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day store operations and leading a medium-sized team of 10 to 25 staff members. This full-time, on-site position involves hands-on management of visual merchandising, staff training, inventory control, and customer service. The Assistant Manager supports the achievement of sales targets by monitoring performance and preparing comprehensive sales and inventory reports, while also fostering a positive and efficient store environment. Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 10-25 employees
• Lead and support visual merchandising and store layout efforts
• Manage inventory, including weekly summaries and stock control
• Monitor daily sales performance and prepare sales reports
• Deliver staff training and development programs
• Create and manage employee schedules
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve conflicts
• Handle cash and oversee point of sale (POS) systems
• Manage overall store operations and reporting

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail management
• High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail management and inventory control
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems
• Expertise in staff training and development
• Conflict resolution capabilities
• Cash handling experience
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
