Exciting Opportunity for Passionate Emergency Room Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: 13:00 - 01:00
- Location: Edinburg, TX
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 10
- Staffing: 3 RNs, 1 Rad Tech, 1 MD
- Patient Ratios: 1:5

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
- Perform critical procedures including:
- Splinting
- Moderate sedation
- Chest tube insertion
- Placement of central lines
- Arterial blood gas sampling
- Lumbar puncture
- Nebulizer treatments

- Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Meditech
- Strong triage skills and ability to prioritize care
- Experience managing patients of all ages
- Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- ENPC

- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience in Level 1 and 2 trauma center settings
- Ability to assist in obstetric deliveries
- Familiarity with rapid sequence intubation techniques
- Proficiency in setting up for mechanical ventilation

- Personality Fit:
- Strong team dynamics
- Comfortable in a collaborative nursing environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams

- Work Environment:
- Float between the Main Emergency Department and sister Freestanding Emergency Departments.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
