Nabis maintains a fun and energetic culture!Responsibilities:Drive routes to and from our Rochester hub to receive product from brands while supporting adhoc hauls to our other New York locations using medium fleet vehicles as neededOutstanding problem solving and time management abilitiesHelp maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned as well as flag any potential maintenance issues to our Fleet ManagementPerform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company SOPs and OSHA standardsFollow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout tripsInspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessaryVisit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by lawAssist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyanceAlways adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authoritiesUse GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computerCommunicate professionally with warehouses, including notifying loaders by phone if you will be late for a scheduled drop-off or pickupDesired Qualifications:Valid CDL with a least 2 years' occupational driving experienceMust have airbrake endorsementMust be over the age of 21Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twistMust adhere to Clearinghouse regulations (DOT) and abide by random drug screenings as appointedMust be able to welcome and learn new technologies quickly and effectivelyExcellent judgement and work ethicProblem solvingCommunications skillsConfidence behind the wheelAdaptabilityCannabis industry experience a plusNabis is an Equal Opportunity EmployerNabis is seeking to create a diverse work environment because all teams are stronger with different perspectives and life experiences.
