Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | No On-Call Required | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk maternal patients at a Level 4 designated maternal center caring for complex patients at any gestation
• Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, and D&C procedures
• Perform circulating operating room and triage duties as required by unit census
• Utilize EMR systems (CPN and Meditech) to document and manage patient care
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, working collaboratively within a team-oriented unit
• Follow standardized order sets and unit guidelines while adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with high-risk maternal patients
• Experience in circulating operating room and triage settings
• Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, and perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Strong team-player mindset and collaborative approach to patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Greater than 5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Familiarity with complex obstetric procedures including C-hysterectomy and placenta accreta spectrum disorder (PASD) cases
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
