Adjunct, Business & Economics (Business Analytics)

Job Description The Department of Business and Economics is looking for adjunct faculty members to teach courses around topics such as business analytics for strategic decision making, business analytics across multiple sectors, data collection and analysis, business research — from problem identification to construction of deliverables, and basic analysis and software skills through the use of Microsoft Excel. This position is for on‑site teaching assignments at our campus in Newport, Rhode Island, beginning in the Spring 2026 semester. Potential courses to be taught include Business Analytics, Business Research & Analytics, and Excel Modeling & Analysis. Responsibilities Prepare and instruct classes assigned by the Department Chair or Assistant Department Chair Prepare, evaluate, provide feedback on, proctor, grade, and return student assignments, examinations, projects, reports, etc. in a timely manner Provide a course syllabus at the start of the semester to students and the department chair Use the Salve learning management system (Canvas) to disseminate syllabus, course material, and grades to students Hold weekly office hours Use Salve email to send and receive official email correspondence Work collaboratively with other course instructors Hold class meetings in person on our campus in Newport, RI Requirements Minimum requirement is a Master's degree in business or related discipline, along with related professional and/or teaching experience Candidates should have an ability to communicate effectively, use technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) effectively in teaching and learning, and to work collaboratively with other members of the department Equal Opportunity Statement Salve Regina University strives to provide equal opportunity in employment and education to all employees, students and applicants.
