We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our growing healthcare team. This individual will play a vital role in patient care by performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient comfort throughout all MRI procedures.

MRI Tech Summary of Job Duties:

• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explain imaging processes, and address patient concerns or questions.
• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established imaging protocols while ensuring optimal image quality.
• Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, medical devices, and contraindications.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of discomfort or distress.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions or service needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures within the EHR system.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, infection control protocols, and facility policies.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure reliable diagnostic imaging results.
• Stay current on advancements in MRI technology and participate in continuing education and training.
• Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies while maintaining required licensures and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting
• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) certification required
• California Department of Public Health (CRT) certification required
• Current CPR Card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
• Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months
• Current Annual Health Clearance
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and imaging protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Reliable source of transportation
