Requirements

• Active nursing license in Alaska required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• 8 years of clinical care or nursing experience, including 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service.
• Case Management certification by a recognized certifying organization (i.e., NCQA, CCMC) preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and concepts of disease.

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage patient progression of care, promoting evidence-based protocols and ensuring the appropriateness of interventions.
• Review patient records to evaluate patient progress and assess the necessity for hospitalization.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure adherence to utilization management and care management plans.
• Review new hospital admissions to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Communicate with payers and ensure documentation supports utilization management functions.
