Customs Specialist - Entry Writer

Job Details Location: Chester, PA Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Customs Specialist - Entry Writer Time Type: Full Time Responsibilities Process customs entries and all other related government agency interfaces that may apply. Meet service level requirements according to client SOP. Ensure entry preparation and submission meet client SOP, product service level, and relevant country and agency requirements. Prioritize work by estimated time of arrival (ETA), product service level, workflow processes, last free day, and transportation mode. Classify entries per client SOP, parts database, or direction from a licensed customs broker/classification specialist. Enter required shipment and customs data into the brokerage system. Proactively work with government agencies and customs authorities to resolve issues. Qualifications Ability to work with minimal supervision. Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Effective interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication. Working knowledge of OGA’s – FDA, FCC, USDA, FWS, etc. High level of customer service. Familiarity with customs regulations. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to adapt to new software quickly. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3–5 years of experience as an entry writer. License Customs Broker preferred but not required. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Compensation Expected base pay: $22.50–$30.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by job-related knowledge, location, skill level, experience, and other objective factors.
