About Our Client

Job Description

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to develop detailed cost estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor bids
• Prepare bid packages, proposals, and conceptual budgets
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership during preconstruction and bid strategy
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimating tools
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed
• Review scope gaps, risks, and constructability concerns during the estimating process
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of all estimates

The Successful Applicant

• 3-8+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or multifamily construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across departments and with external partners
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
• Local or regional construction market knowledge in Central PA preferred
