Python Contractor – Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Python contractor to support application development, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to quickly understand existing systems, identify root causes, resolve defects, and deliver reliable code improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, modify, and maintain Python code for existing applications.
• Debug and resolve defects in production and non-production environments.
• Quickly analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes. This is a must-have requirement.
• Support REST API development, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Work on application enhancements, bug fixes, and small feature implementations.
• Collaborate with team members to understand technical requirements and production issues.
• Review logs, troubleshoot application failures, and improve overall system stability.
• Work with databases to investigate and resolve data-related issues.

Required Skills:

• 3–7 years of strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Proven experience debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Good understanding of Git and version control.
• Ability to quickly ramp up and work effectively with existing or unfamiliar codebases.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools.
• Experience working in Agile and fast-paced development environments.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.
